How to Search the Performance Shakespeare 2016 Blog

Welcome to the Performance Shakespeare 2016 blog!

Thank you for visiting our archive. Each performance submitted to our website has been explained in detail in its own blog post. You can choose to look through these posts in a variety of ways:

1. You can browse selected posts from around the world on our home page, or by scrolling through the blog pages to see if a title jumps out at you. Performances are organized by date (more recent at the top, to earliest at the bottom).

2. Use the drop down menu under "blog" to search by play or location. Searching by play will allow you to click on titles of Shakespeare's works, or adaptations/original productions labelled as "other performances." Searching by location offers the same function for continents and countries.

2. If you're looking for something even more specific (perhaps the name of a theatre or performer you know) you can always use the search bar located at the top of the blog or on the home page. This will search the whole site for the word or phrase you type in, and then show the relevant page(s) in a drop-down menu below the search bar.

3. Search with the "Tags" and "Categories" at the bottom of each blog post. Categories include performance type (e.g. play, opera, poetry etc.), continent, and the Shakespearean text (e.g. Othello, King Lear, or "Other"). Tags include other relevant information like performance languages, country, whether the performance toured or took part in a festival, etc. If you click on any of these items, the site will take you to a list of all the posts that include those categories/tags.

4. Finally, you can click on the author of the post, to see what else they've submitted, or on the location (included in some posts), if you'd like to view a map.

Happy browsing, and we hope you enjoy the site!
