An outdoor performance by a young and dynamic group who established a reputation for summer Shakespeare with previous years' performances in Dublin's Iveagh Gardens. Like Caroline Byrne's production of The Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare's Globe, this production moves the action of Measure for Measure to Ireland in 1916, where Angelo's crusade against sexual immorality pits him against the inhabitants of Dublin's Monto district, which was the largest red-light district in all of Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
