The lovers scene from A Midsummer Nights Dream, commisioned by Darlington Green Theatre, performed as flash-mob theatre in the Cornmill in Darlington, surrounded by unsuspecting shoppers.

Darlington Green Theatre have commissioned four North-East actors to create a vibrant and relatable scene from one of Shakespeare's most famous plays. Susie Potter, Leanne Golightly, Dean Logan and David Gerits are all currently living in London and pursuing careers in acting. They are all are passionate about Shakespeare and have worked with the Bard's words before, but never in this context. In order to drum up some support for Darlington Green Theatre, (who perform Shakespeare annually in Darlington's South Park), the actors are doing the scene flash-mob style amongst 50 unsuspecting audience members in their local shopping centre. Round the corner, Darlington Green Theatre's performers will be warming up, ready to perform their version of Hamlet at the local Libary.
